Thank God for a sense of humour. The Cartoon Museum in central London has a superb collection of political and satirical cartoons from the 18th century onwards. I visited on the day that Liz Truss sacked Kwasi Kwarteng as Chancellor, hopefully consigning Trussonomics to the wastebin of history. But OMG I found some solace from the current mess in the hundreds of cartoons laying bare the posturings of politicians and the absurdity behind all their pomp and hot air. The museum had an extensive “temporary” exhibition dedicated to her predecessor Fat Arse Boris and I wondered if this could become a permanent shrine dedicated to populism and the lunatic fringe of the Tory party. Aka the Far Right. Lest we forget. The museum is in Marylebone and clichĂ© or not it really is a hidden gem. It could do with a museum catalogue but I understand that funding is tight. https://www.instagram.com/p/CjuR3Oso6gX/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
